Symposium on Mobile Technologies in Library Services

AGI and LIR will co-host a one-day symposium on practical issues for implementing and using mobile technologies to provide and promote library resources and services. This symposium is
an opportunity to showcase and highlight the existing work carried out in Irish libraries making use of mobile technologies.
Paper proposals:
Expressions of interest are sought for short, 20-minute snapshot papers on the use of mobile and other technologies to promote and
deliver a wide variety of library services and resources. This is an opportunity to showcase innovative use of mobile technologies in your library.
Example topics might include:
- Design and creation of a library app
- Development of Augmented Reality in Libraries
- Gamifying library services
- Mobile Visual Searching
- Developing mobile version library sites
- The use of QR codes
- Promoting and marketing mobile technologies
These topics are broad, and other examples will be considered.
